Product Description

Battery Thermal Management System Compressive Pad TDS compressive stress FR-MPP Foam Sheet

MPP foam, a type of closed-cell foam derived from polypropylene beads, offers a range of benefits that make it highly suitable for insulation in NEV batteries. The unique properties of MPP foam, including its thermal insulation, temperature stability, and fire protection capabilities, contribute to the optimal performance and safety of NEV battery systems.

With its exceptional thermal insulation properties and low thermal conductivity, MPP foam effectively regulates and maintains stable operating temperatures within NEV batteries. This is crucial for preserving battery performance and preventing overheating, which can lead to reduced efficiency and potential safety hazards. By minimizing heat transfer, MPP foam ensures that the battery operates within the desired temperature range, enhancing its overall functionality and longevity.

One of the advantages of MPP foam is its versatility in density options and customization. This flexibility allows manufacturers to tailor the foam to meet the specific thermal protection requirements of different NEV battery applications. By selecting the appropriate density, NEV manufacturers can effectively optimize temperature management, ensuring that the battery remains in an ideal operating condition.

In addition to its thermal properties, MPP foam boasts excellent fire protection capabilities. It is classified as UL94 V-0, indicating its outstanding resistance to ignition and non-propagation of flames once the ignition source is removed. This fire-resistant characteristic makes MPP foam an ideal material for NEV battery applications, as it helps prevent the spread of fire and improves overall safety. In the unfortunate event of a fire, MPP foam can contain the flames and aid in extinguishing them, minimizing potential damage and reducing the risk of injury.

Overall, MPP foam offers a reliable solution for NEV battery insulation, ensuring stable operating temperatures and providing fire protection. Its thermal insulation properties, temperature stability, and fire-resistant nature contribute to the efficient and safe performance of NEV batteries. By incorporating MPP foam into battery systems, NEV manufacturers can enhance the reliability and safety of their vehicles, promoting the advancement of electric mobility while prioritizing customer satisfaction and peace of mind.

Description
PP is a semi-crystalline polymer, its melting point is generally 150~170°C. Compared with PE, PS, and PU foam materials whose temperature resistance is only 70~80°C, the service temperature of MPP can reach 120°C, so MPP is especially suitable for high-temperature packaging, high temperature insulation and other fields.
MPP integrates reinforcement, heat insulation and noise reduction, and is especially suitable for fields with high requirements for lightweight materials, such as automobiles, rail transit, ships, fan blades, etc.
Lightweight and high-strength MPP thick boards are used as structural foams, replacing traditional structural foams such as PVC/PU interpenetrating structural foams, PET structural foams, etc., especially as sandwich composite materials

  • Lightweight
  • Flat sides
  • Self-adhesive
Features
  • Permanent flame retardancy ((UL94 V-0, HF-1, B1 rating)
  • Excellent thermal insulation (thermal conductivity, 0.035 W/ (m*K))
  • Wide weather resistance (negative 180 degrees Celsius to 200 degrees Celsius, up to 240 degrees Celsius, maintaining stable physical and chemical properties, lightweight PU foam can only withstand 100 degrees Celsius, 120 degrees Celsius begins to decompose and fission, glass fibre is fragile in the sub-zero environment)
  • Lightweight (8.5KG/cubic, but lightweight PU foam is the lightest 18 KG/cubic)
  • Eco-friendly (does not contain any halogenated hydrocarbons, flame retardants and/or toxic heavy metals; no toxic and harmful gases are produced when burning in flames, while lightweight PU foam is added with flame retardants, and glass fibre is harmful to the human body). Environmental stability (acid resistance, alkali resistance, antibacterial, mildew resistance)
  • Excellent sound absorption performance (0.95NRC, melamine foam has better performance in high frequency)
  • Secondary processing formability (easy to cut, can be back glued or laminated, etc.)
