Which kinds of material will be used as EV Battery Pack Seal?

The EV Battery Pack’s critical operation is the sealing of the battery module and battery pack. EV battery components within battery modules and packs are often enclosed between upper and lower housings. Seals between these two housing elements protect sensitive components from water, dust, and air ingress. Seals also assure any dangerous materials are contained in the event of a collision. Selected gasket and seal materials must withstand extreme temperatures and are often required to be UL94 V-0 rated, passing horizontal and/or vertical burn tests.

FQ has rich experience in material selection. We maintain strong partnerships with raw material manufacturers such as 3M and Saint Gobain. Rogers BISCO® Silicone, PORON® Urethanes, and Saint Gobain Norseal® Foams are excellent for EV battery gaskets and seals in China. These materials show great compression set resistance while offering long-term proven performance at extreme conditions. 3M™ VHB™ double-coated foam tapes can also be used to join and bond materials while sealing out moisture and dirt. FQ’s material technician has the experience to understand the Rubber Seal information and design challenges fully and will cooperate with you honourably Our long working experience with Ev battery parts will allow us to suggest some ideal materials and configurations for assembly.
